Reference project: stamped parts and castors for the Gebhardt Isotec® TBX insulated roll container
The project
Gebhardt Logistics wanted to take its insulated Isotec® container into a more demanding part of the cold chain, with tighter temperature stability, heavier use and easier handling. The result is the Isotec® TBX.
LIV Systems worked on it from the first design, as development partner for the steel structure and the castors.
1. The task
The TBX had to keep the proven Isotec® concept and carry more. That meant stronger load-bearing frames, and castors that keep rolling in refrigerated warehouses and on loading docks.
Gebhardt chose to upgrade every structural part instead of starting a new container.
2. Development
We joined the project at the design stage and developed the steel reinforcements and the castors for the container’s loads and temperature range.
“The cooperation between our team and LIV Systems has been outstanding,” shared a Gebhardt Logistics representative. “Their deep understanding of materials and manufacturing enabled us to bring a truly differentiated solution to a new market.”
3. What LIV supplies
-
Stamped steel reinforcements that carry the container load at low weight.
-
Corrosion protection for wet and cold areas.
-
Castors developed for use in cold stores, so the container still rolls easily at low temperatures.
4. Next steps
The Isotec® TBX is now part of Gebhardt’s range.
“Our collaboration with Gebhardt is a great example of how engineering depth can support product innovation,” said a lead engineer at LIV Systems. “The Isotec® TBX proves what’s possible when design and manufacturing work hand in hand to solve real-world logistics challenges.”
