SKZ certification of waste container castors

SKZ - Testing GmbH in Würzburg has certified our castors for 4-wheel waste containers to DIN EN 840-5:2020-06 and RAL-GZ 951/1:2023-08. Three certificates cover 160 mm and 200 mm castors with 32 article numbers, and 9 of them are in our product catalogue. A certificate stays valid as long as we do not change the product.

Which castors are certified

Certificate 63720 covers our 160 mm castor with plastic rim. Certificates 56108 and 56208 cover the 200 mm castor, 56108 with plastic rim and 56208 with steel rim. All three apply to castors for containers with 4 wheels, made by LIV SYSTEMS d.o.o., Industrijska cesta 2, 6230 Postojna, Slovenia.

SKZ - Testing GmbH states that the wheel type for containers with 4 wheels, made by LIV SYSTEMS d.o.o., meets the requirements for mobile waste containers according to DIN EN 840-5:2020-06 and RAL-GZ 951/1:2023-08. The statement rests on the results of the test reports of the accredited laboratory SKZ - Testing GmbH, which are listed below. The certificates are written in German, and the German text is binding.

What the test covers

EN 840-5:2020 is Part 5 of the European standard for mobile waste containers and is titled "Performance requirements and test methods". The castors listed above were tested by SKZ against these requirements and against RAL-GZ 951/1:2023-08, and the certificates confirm the result. We cite only the two standards that the certificates name. The test conditions are in the SKZ test reports, and details of a specific report are available on request.

How long a certificate is valid

A certificate covers the product as it was tested and built. It stays valid as long as we do not change the design of the product, and a design change needs a new test. The certificates carry no expiry date. Each one replaces an earlier certificate, and the table above shows the date of the current certificate and of the one it replaces.
